4th July Celebration MSSU

The Fred G Hugnes Stadium was lined up with spectators of all ages this evening at MSSU. A wide range of local food vendors, bounce houses and live music by The Mix Tapes with a fireworks show sceduled later tonight.

The 2019 Joplin Independence Day Celebration, sponsored in part by Academy Sports & Outdoors, will kick off on Thursday, July 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Fred G. Hughes Stadium, located on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.

This spectacular event will feature live music by The Mixtapes, food trucks, inflatables, and bounce houses. Unlimited bounce wristbands will be available to purchase for $10/child.

Schedule of Events:
• 7:00: Event Kick Off: Food Trucks, Live Music by The Mixtapes, Inflatables & Bounce Houses, Stadium Opens to Visitors
• 9:45: Fireworks Show (approximate show time is 20 minutes)

The football stadium is a NCAA regulation field and no one will be allowed on the football turf. Seating is available in the stadium and along the grass around the field.

Celebrate Neosho

Yesterday June 29th Neosho, Missouri celebrated the 4th of July early with activities, food vendors and ending it off with a massive fireworks display. Several local musicians perfromed throughout the day entertaining all types of music lovers. The food vendors were amazing top notch when you buy local it helps the owners and the community.  One of the newest food vendors was EZ Cheesey selling jumbo hamburgers, cheese curds, loaded fries and so many other food options. Alot of planning for this event takes work and deication and in the end the community was amazing and supportive.
