Route 66 Centennial Kickoff Concert

SPRINGFIELD, MO — The much-anticipated National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff Celebration will officially launch America’s Mother Road’s 100th anniversary with four days of music, history, and community events in Springfield, Missouri — the birthplace of Route 66.
The centerpiece of the celebration is the National Centennial Kickoff Concert on Thursday, April 30, at the Great Southern Bank Arena — a star-studded tribute to the road that helped define a century of American adventure.
Star-Studded Lineup
The concert will be hosted by actor John Goodman — celebrated Hollywood actor and Missouri native — alongside Springfield City Councilmember Callie Carroll.
Performances will feature an exciting lineup of national touring and legacy music artists, including:

The concert celebrates the music, stories, and shared experiences inspired by Route 66 and will run April 30 from 5:15–11 p.m. at Great Southern Bank Arena.
More Than a Concert
The kickoff concert is just the beginning of a larger four-day celebration filled with historic dedications, parades, classic car shows, live entertainment, and arts events. Music and performances will continue throughout Friday and Saturday, including drone shows, outdoor concerts, and interactive experiences honoring the legacy and culture of the historic highway.

This kickoff event marks the start of year-long centennial activities taking place in communities across all eight Route 66 states, from Illinois to California.
