Structure Fire West 2nd St Joplin Mo

A structure fire was reported on West 2nd St in Joplin, Missouri this evening. Multiple Joplin Fire Engines were dispatched along with medical and the local electric company. Joplin Police Department has several roads blocked off detouring traffic away from the area. Several residents living on and near the 800 block are without power due to the fire. Joplin Fire Department battled the blaze since after 6:40 p.m. it was under control shortly after 8 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Sears Joplin Missouri To Close

Sears annoucned today that an additional 96 stores would close 51 Sears locations and 45 K-Mart stores nation wide. This closing would leave a third of sears locations remaining open with 182 stores. Sears in Joplin, Missouri was in the newly annouced list of closings.

Structure Fire Redings Mill Missouri

11-1-2019

A large structure fire broke out late Friday evening just sout of Joplin, Missouri in Redings Mill. The house was located on the top hill of Brandi LN across from the Redings Mill Fire Deparment. Multiple fire engines were dispatched to the scene to handle the fire and detour traffic heading in the area. Heavy smoke could be seen from miles away. We watched the front porch collapse while fire fighters battled to put out the fire. The fire was under control shortly after 10 p.m.

The fire marshall is currently investigating the cause this is an on going investigation.

No injuries were reported

Breaking news in the sports world The Washington Nationals pull off a comeback to win their first championship in franchise history. The score was 6 to 2 vs the Houston Astros. The championship game was held at Minute Maid Park in Houston Texas during game 7 of the World Series.
