Kansas City Chiefs Hit the Road to Face Miami Dolphins Today
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Kansas City Chiefs are back in action today as they travel to Florida for a Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
Kansas City enters the game with a 2-0 record, while Miami comes into Sunday looking for its first win of the season at 0-2. The game is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, September 27.
The Chiefs opened the 2026 regular season with a 31-10 victory over the Denver Broncos before defeating the Indianapolis Colts 33-30 in overtime last week. Kansas City will now play its first road game of the regular season as it looks to continue its undefeated start.
Sunday’s matchup will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and will be televised nationally on CBS, with KCTV5 carrying the game locally in the Kansas City market. The broadcast crew will feature Kevin Harlan on play-by-play, former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green as analyst and Melanie Collins reporting from the sideline. Kansas City announced several inactive players ahead of kickoff, including tight end Jared Wiley, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, defensive back Chamarri Conner, defensive ends Jack Pyburn and Tyreke Smith, tackle Diego Pounds and tackle Josh Simmons.
For the Dolphins, running back Jaylen Wright, wide receiver Caleb Douglas, quarterback Brady Cook, cornerback Marcellas Dial Jr., edge rusher Rob Beal Jr., guard DJ Campbell and tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick were listed as inactive.
The matchup gives the Chiefs an opportunity to improve to 3-0 before continuing their road trip next Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
