A rollover accident involving a concret truck traping the driver inside. East of Highway 60 is expected to be shutdown for several hours while emergency crews are working crash. Newtown County Police Department, Grandy Fire Department working as a team.

Joplin, Mo- Shortly after 6 p.m. this evening, The Joplin Police Department were dispatched to West 7th & S. Gray. Reports of a motorcycle colliding with a 4×4 Blue F-150 pickup. One fatality has been reported.
3 individuals were transported to an area hospital and 2 occupants were inside the truck. The Major Crash Team was dispatched to the scene and is piecing the crash back together. MoDOT was also assisting with the crash.
Late this eveing the Joplin Fire Department along with Webb City Fire Department responded to a large structure fire at 3207 N St. Louis St near the Joplin Airport. Heavy smoke could be spotted from miles away across the Joplin area. Multiple fire crews were dispatched to the scene causing road closers on St. Louis Street and delays in the neighborhood. The cause of the structure fire is still being investigated

Country Star Jake Owen made an amazing return to Downstream Casino and Resort on July 6th 2019. Six years ago in 2013 was the last time the rising country star visited and he is still dominating the charts since his amazing return. Mr. Owen and his band rocked fans of all ages it was certainly a country night to be remembered. Local food truck vendors were on site serving and sizzling up some the best food from the area including Ghettos Tacos a local favorite at food markets and festivals across the area. Immeditaley after the concert was over their was a fireworks show celebrating the casino’s 11th anniversary.
