Massive Flooding In Anderson Missouri & Surrounding Areas

Heavy rain’s flooded the midwest area early this morning causing rivers to breach, community homes and business to be covered in water. Record amounts of rain reached the area in matter of hours. In Anderson Missouri the McDonald County Administrative School Building suffered massive flooding located along Business 71. Anderson, Missouri Main Street was completely submerged detour signs were in place. The Anderson Ball Park located across the street from the administrative buildings was also covered in high flood waters. Several residents had to be exvacuated quickly living on Indian Trail LN & Meadow Brook LN waiting for the waters to crest and go down. Local fire fighters were on scene making sure everyone was rescued safely.

In Joplin Missouri several roads were closed causing detours along Shoal Creek and The Grand Falls area.

In Neosho, Missouri over 14 rescues had to be performed starting as early as 9 a.m. mostly from residents or spectators checking out the water and getting stuck instead of staying home or away igorning warning signs and high water conditions in the area. remember if you cant see the road dont try and cross it.
