Vanessa Bryant files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Helicopter Company


Thousands of fans and supporters have been gathering at the Staples Center today for a memorial service to celebrate the lives of Kobe and Gianna Bryant and the legacy of one the greatest basketball players to live.

The wife of the late Kobe Bryant just sued the company that owned the helicopter that killed her husband along with her daughter and seven others.

The lawsuit alleges Island Express Helicopters put the helicopter in the air when conditions were not safe for flying.

The complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Island Express Helicopters and Island Express Holding Corp. alleged that pilot Ara Zobayan, who also died in the crash, failed “to use ordinary care in piloting the subject aircraft” and was “negligent.”
