The State of Arkansas price gouging laws are know active not only for businesses but for individulas who are trying to profit in a time of need. Attorney General of Arkansas Leslie Rutledge held a press conference earlier today addressing the public on the State of Emergency delcared.
Price Gouging. Act 376 of 1997 prohibits businesses from price gouging during a state of emergency. The law prohibits businesses from charging more than 10 percent above the pre-disaster price of goods or services. … For home repairs, the law remains in effect for 180 days.
