KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One of the Midwest’s most anticipated celebrity charity weekends is officially set to return, as Big Slick Kansas City gears up for its 17th annual event in 2026—bringing star power, comedy, and a powerful mission back to the heart of the city.
Big Slick 2026 will take place May 29–30, 2026, once again uniting hometown Hollywood names and fans for a weekend dedicated to raising funds for pediatric cancer research at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
he event is hosted by Kansas City-area natives and fan-favorite entertainers including Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner, Eric Stonestreet, and Heidi Gardner—all of whom return each year with celebrity friends to support the cause.
A Weekend of Entertainment for a Cause
The centerpiece of the weekend will be the Big Slick Party & Show, held Saturday, May 30 at the T-Mobile Center. The show promises an energetic mix of comedy, music, sketches, and surprise celebrity appearances—an unpredictable experience organizers often describe as “one-of-a-kind chaos.”
Fans can also expect exclusive fundraising opportunities, including auctions, merchandise, and VIP experiences, all benefiting Children’s Mercy. Since its launch in 2010, Big Slick has grown into a national spotlight event, raising nearly $30 million to support pediatric cancer research and treatment.
New Twist for 2026
This year’s event will look slightly different. For the first time in years, the popular celebrity softball game will not be held due to scheduling conflicts tied to the FIFA World Cup and the Kansas City Royals being out of town.
In its place, organizers are introducing a limited-capacity VIP fundraiser on Friday night, May 29, at Kauffman Stadium. The exclusive event will give attendees the chance to mingle with celebrities in a more intimate setting while continuing to raise funds for the cause.
A Kansas City Tradition
What began as a small poker night among friends has evolved into one of Kansas City’s most meaningful annual traditions—blending entertainment with philanthropy and hometown pride. Each year, the event draws thousands of attendees and national attention, all while keeping its focus on helping children and families facing cancer.
With tickets already generating buzz and more celebrity announcements expected, Big Slick 2026 is shaping up to be another unforgettable weekend in Kansas City—where laughter, star power, and community come together for a life-changing cause.
